Mormon Temples: Empowerment through Jesus Christ

Mormon Temples: Empowerment through Jesus Christ

Mormon Temples: Finding Fulfillment God’s presence, especially in His House (Mormon temples) fills us.   Spiritual hunger, longing for God, and knowledge that we belong, is part of our spiritual birthright as His children. Over-extending ourselves to fit into cultural notions of perfection is different than allowing God’s work to be done through us, and feeling the present and ongoing peace, approval, love and satisfaction that God’s presence and Christ’s Spirit brings. Goods can’t replace God and Jesus Christ in our lives. Overextending ourselves cannot. Money through the biggest and best enterprise, shopping sprees, rounds of applause and medals of all kinds, cannot quiet the longing that only...

Mormon Temples: The Work of Jehovah

Mormon Temples: The Work of Jehovah

Jesus Christ is the author of salvation.  “Mormons”–a nickname given to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints–revere, love, and worship Him on a daily basis, and especially as they serve in holy temples or Mormon temples, His very House on earth. God has always desired to sanctify a place and prepare His people to learn of Him in a pure setting, and to prepare to enter His literal presence and feel His glory. Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ (in which temple rituals or ceremonies are performed to marry couples forever, for example, and to receive instruction about the purpose of life) are Houses of the Lord.  As we combine prayer and intercession, daily strivings to live as Jesus Christ would have us live, and worship in His House, there is a deepened knowledge of Him and personal awareness of His presence that comes from worship in LDS (“Mormon temples”–literally Houses of the Lord). We come to...

Mormon Temple Rituals, Temple Blessings

Mormon Temple Rituals, Temple Blessings

Mormon Temple Rituals, Temple Blessings I can see the spire of the Mount Timpanogos Mormon temple from my living room and hallway windows. I love it. Light amid the darkness, a beacon of all that is good and pure in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s a reminder of the Savior’s promised blessings in His word and shared again in Mormon temples, temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Those blessings include His power, His presence, His spiritual protection, as stated below: Those who understand the eternal blessings which come from the temple [Mormon temples] know that no sacrifice is too great, no price too heavy, no struggle too difficult in order to receive those blessings. There are never too...
